Oral Histories

Oral histories are only available to researchers on site in the John and Joy Chittock Research Room. Many are accessible in digital form.

Arthur Melbourne-Cooper's daughter Audrey Wadowska recorded a series of interviews with her father and his contemporaries from the 1950s onwards. These interviews formed the foundation of Ms. Wadowska's case to obtain greater recognition of her father's importance as a pioneer British film maker and animator.

Although we are able to publish details about each one of these recordings they will remain unavailable to researchers until the publication of Tjitte de Vries and Ati Mul's forthcoming biography of Arthur Melbourne-Cooper in 2016.
